The Dua That Takes Care of Everything

The Dua That Takes Care of Everything – Nouman Ali Khan Before you ask Him anything else, anything else that you want or I want, we need to be able to genuinely ask Allah to forgive us. People ask which dua’ can I make for forgiveness? What are the best words I can say for this dua’? You know people have duas for separate occasion, so… When a woman is expecting, she’ll email me or she’ll come up to me and say, “Look, I’m gonna have a baby, which dua’ can I make right now? Or somebody would say, “I’m going for a job interview, which dua’ can I make right now?” “Give me the special dua’ for the special occasion.” Let me tell you, those words are important, because they’re sacred and they’re revealed. But the dua’ for all occasions, is actually seeking Allah’s forgiveness. The dua’ to get rid of all of your problems, the one dua’ that takes care of everything is genuinely seeking Allah’s forgiveness. Nuh (عليه السلام) invites his people you know for over nine centuries. He was doing constant da’wa to them. And at the end of that carrier, he looks back and he summarizes the message that he was trying to give them. Of course he did’t have one speech with them, he didn’t talk to them once or twice, (دَعَوْتُ قَوْمِى لَيْلًۭا وَنَهَارًۭا) (QS. Nuh: 5) Night and day, he didn’t even take nights off. He was constantly inviting them, constantly inviting them, And in a surah dedicated to his name, Surat Nuh he himself summarizes the entire message he was giving his people this whole time. What is it that I want from you? (إِنِّى كُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُهُمْ لِتَغْفِرَ لَهُمْ) (QS. Nuh: 7) “Every time I was inviting them, I was only inviting them, calling them to this faith, so You could forgive them Ya Rabb.” And then literally he says, “Here’s how I invited them.” “This is what I exactly said to them over and over and over again.” “(قلت), I said, (ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُم),” “Seek forgiveness of your Master,” (إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًۭا) (QS. Nuh: 10) “Certainly Allah is someone who keeps on forgiving, and keeps on forgiving, and keeps on forgiving.” “And He does it repeatedly.” But what he says after that is so remarkable. He’s talking to one of the worst nation in history. Places like Surat al-Qamar, or even Surat adz-Dzariyaat, Allah describes different nations of the past that rebel against Allah, that rebel against the Prophets, and were destroyed. When He gets to Nuh (عليه السلام)’s nation What does He say? (وَقَوْمَ نُوحٍۢ مِّن قَبْلُ) (إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَظْلَمَ وَأَطْغَىٰ) (QS. An-Najm: 52) “The nation of Nuh from much before, THEY… THEY certainly were; more wrong doing and more rebellious than everyone else.” Like He has the worst condemnation of the people of Nuh. It makes sense, they had a messenger not for one generation like every other Prophet. They had a Prophet three generations- four generations every century, every two decades there’s a new generation of kids, that have grown up. And he’s seen that century, after century, after century. He seen 40-50 generations of people. And they’ve all rejected him. The reason I brought this up is for a purpose. He’s talking to very-very bad people. He’s talking to the worst of the worst. What offer does he make to them? He says, (ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُم) “Seek forgiveness of your Master,” (إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ غَفَّارًۭا) He keeps on forgiving, over and over and over again.” His offer doesn’t stop there, he says, Nuh: 11) (يُرْسِلِ) is actually (جواب الأمر), “If you seek His forgiveness, then, Allah will open up the sky for you.” “And it’ll start pouring on you.” Now that could be a reference to rain, It’s not a reference that you will get flooded. Allah is talking about a different kind of rain now. If you seek forgiveness, that same rain that destroy them, will be the rain that brings them life. They didn’t pray for rain, Allah just ask them to make dua’ to be forgiven. But if you asked dua’ to be forgiven, they sky will open up and start pouring. Now Allah did not say water will pour. He said the sky will pour, because the sky has a lot more than water. The sky has forgiveness, the sky has peace, tranquility, faith, your provision, the solution to your problems, they come from the sky. He will open the flood gates, and everything held from the treasures of Allah that you haven’t been getting because you haven’t been seeking forgiveness, is gonna open up. Just ask for forgiveness. You’re asking to solve problem A, problem B, problem C, there are problems you don’t even know you have. Allah knows that you have them. If you and I just became genuine people of seeking forgiveness, then problems would start getting solve by divine intervention. And that’s not even enough, you’re asking forgiveness for who? Yourself. (ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُم) “And seek forgiveness for yourself.” He says, (وَيُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ) (QS. Nuh: 12) “And He will extend you, by giving you money, and giving you children.” He will further your good legacy with money and kids, it’s not even money that will lead you away from Allah, because it’s in the context of you seeking forgiveness. He will give you good money, that will lead to you doing more good, and benefit you in this worldly sense, and in the akhirah sense. And He’ll give you good children, they will respect you, show you love, obey you, make you proud, they will give you happiness when you’re alive, and even when you’re gone, they’ll continue to do good deed, that become a continuous investment for you, after you’re in your grave. This is the same two words: money and children. Later on, (إِنَّهُمْ عَصَوْنِى وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ مَن لَّمْ يَزِدْهُ مَالُهُۥ) (وَوَلَدُهُۥٓ إِلَّا خَسَارًۭا) (QS. Nuh: 21) “They disobeyed Me, and they only follow the people whose money and his kids do nothing but cause them more loss.” Money and kids are a mean of loss. But when money and kids come from Allah, after you seek forgiveness, they become gain. It’s the same money and kids, the only different is, now they have the blessings of Allah’s forgiveness on top of them. It’s like they were contaminated. Until Allah purify them with His forgiveness. (ٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟ رَبَّكُم) “And look, seek Allah’s forgiveness,” what doesn’t open up. The sky opens up in ways you can’t imagine. Guidance opens up for you, understanding opens up for you, real personal, internal problems start going away. (يُمْدِدْكُم بِأَمْوَٰلٍۢ وَبَنِينَ) But that’s not enough, He says, (وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ جَنَّـٰتٍۢ) (وَيَجْعَل لَّكُمْ أَنْهَـٰرًۭا) (QS. Nuh: 12) “He’ll put in place for you gardens, He’ll make rivers flow for you.” This is Allah’s way of saying, “What will I not give you, if you just ask for forgiveness.” It’s almost like, “You can ask for other things, or you could just ask for forgiveness, and everything is covered.”

"Ash-hadu "an la "ilaha "illallahu wahdahu la sharika lahu wa "ash-hadu "anna
Muhammadan 'abduhu wa Rasuluhu. (Salallahu alaihi wasallam)

I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, Who has no partner; and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger. (Salallahu alaihi wasallam)

Glory is to You, O Allah, and praise; I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.

  7. A #GoldenTip 🌟 For Increasing Your Khushu' (Humbleness) in Prayer

#Sujood – I noticed many of us go to Ruku or Sujood and get up so fast, some don’t even take the time to say "Subhana Rabi Al Adheem" 3 times … and say it only once!

Well, I have good news for you today … I have news that will make you today onwards go to Ruku or Sujood with a different feeling and different timing.

The Prophet Peace be upon him said: When a slave stands and prays, all his sins are brought and placed on his head and shoulders. Every time he bows or prostrates, some of them fall from him.” (Bayhaqi, Saheeh al-Jami’) #SubhanAllah!

So from now on when you stand up to pray, imagine all your sins being placed on your head and shoulders and when you go to Ruku and Sujood, stay longer to lose as many as you can and picture them falling down and away from you. Understand the purpose of praying … this will help you concentrate.

When you go to the position of Ruku, feel and tell Allah with your heart that you will never kneel to anyone but him and picture those sins falling down.

And when you say "Sami'Allahu liman hamidah" (Allah hears who thanks Him) and you say "Rabbana walakal Hamd" (Our Lord, all praise is due to You) you are thanking Him for honoring you and making you stand straight not like the other creatures who walk on four with their back bent. Thank Him for making you able to move and pray.

When you go to the first Sajdah (you put your head down on the floor) you are representing the earth which you came from and when you get up after the first Sajdah you are representing the first time He created you from the earth.

When you go on the second Sajdah again on the ground, you are representing when you die and you go back to the ground and when you get up the second time you are representing the second time when Allah will bring you and I back from the dead on the Day of Judgment, therefore, concentrate with every movement and feel it.

Make a lot of du'a in Sujood and remember du'a is ibadah and Allah loves those who ask Him … ask Him and beg Him … complain to Him … you are better off complaining to Him than to humans … . He will never betray you, He will never let you down, He will never look down on you and He is the only one who can answer your needs with your head held high.

Do you know the reason you say "Allahu Akbar" (Allah is great) every time you move in a prayer?

It’s a reminder that Allah is greater than anything you might be thinking about from this world. ☝ So be honest when you say "Allahu Akbar" and remember He is greater than anything that is occupying your mind while you pray.

Do you know when you stand up to pray and say "Allahu Akbar", Allah stands before you and the minute your mind goes wondering on silly things in this life, Allah turns His face away from you and says (Is there something better than me taking you away from me?)

SubhanAllah, how blessed are we to have Allah meet us and stand before us 5 times a day, to listen to us and to our problems and to grant us our wishes and forgives us for our sins every day. You say "Allahu Akbar and He is there, you don’t need to stand in front of His door for hours or take an appointment or meet a mediator or a secretary, how generous is He?

As you stand, bow or prostrate before Allah in prayer, keep focusing on how much you long to meet and see Him in the Next Life!

~ Hopefully we will all from today pray differently and enjoy our prayers like never before In sha Allah. Ya Allah taqabbal salaatana… Ya Allah accept our Salah, grant us the ability to pray with khushu, with full concentration, devotion, and in the correct manner. Aameen Aameen Aameen!

A simple beautiful way for our sins to be forgiven.
~ don't forget to #SHARE to gain EXTRA reward as it's the blessed day of Jummu'ah 😊 (and the first of the blessed month of Ramadhan) and it's even more important for us to be putting this into practice which will only add to Khushu in our Salah.

Assalamu aliykum warahmathulli wa barakathuhu. Hope you all a beautiful blessed start to Jummu'ah, and please do share this post if you found it beneficial. Jazakumullahu khaiyran
