Medications Depleting Your Nutrition
This is Dr. Gary Shoemaker with Dr.
Shoe’s Health Minute, today we’re going to talk about medications and what kind of
depletions they do in your body. The Centers for Disease Control says that
90% of all illnesses are due to a deficiency of some kind of nutrient in
your body and we know that medications are what called nutritional antagonists.
And a nutritional antagonist is something that you consume that depletes
things of your body for example if you happen to take statins for cholesterol
we know that you’re going to be losing a very important nutrient for your heart
called Co Q 10. If you are taking antibiotics you’re going to lose the
important bacteria in your colon so you need to take probiotics. And if you’re
taking NSAIDs, like aspirin or ibuprofen or Tylenol, then you’re going to need to
put minerals back into your system again if you can do that you will stay healthy.
This list that we have on our website is a list of all the medications that
people commonly take and what nutrients you need to take to compensate for that
and if you have any questions at all just let us know, we’d be happy to help
you out with that. I’m Dr. Gary Shoemaker with Dr. Shoes Health Minute
