  1. Fragile is an understatement.  These chameleons die way too easy.  They get metabolic bone disease and their legs curve or break and then they can't move much.  I got an older one about 60 days ago and it is already messed up, legs bent or broken.  I really tried to take care of him because I knew they were fragile but damn.  I've had other lizards that lasted for years with zero problems.  He's not dead yet, force feeding him and hoping for a recovery but I doubt he last another week.  Just say no to these chameleons as pets.

  2. Make sure you have a source of UV light for them, a light tube that emits UVB light that is designed for reptiles (they need replacing after around 6 months use) and sprinkle their food with calcium, this is probably the most imortant part of owning a Chameleon.

  3. This chameleon is not happy he is a dark color (lighter the color the happier) and he is opening his mouth saying he wants to stay still

  4. My firs reptile is a chameleon that may have been a bad idea I've had him for months and he has been ok he has a dropper mister plants and screen cage and some powder to put on his crickets is this good enough

  5. Erm, I seem to be doing just fine as a beginner with a chameleon. He drinks from the droplets off the mister, he eats about three crickets (small) that are dusted with calcium, he started shedding yesterday and is still doing so. I'm about to go into my second week having him.

  6. I agree with a lot of the things this guy is saying he is very educated however I would have to disagree with him on the point that a chameleon is an expert lizard keeper only kind of thing. My chameleon was my first lizard I've ever cared for my self and she is well and thriving. I think that if a beginner is committed to the care of this animal it could make a great pet for anyone.

  7. That chameleon was super unhealthy, extremely scared, way too thin, and way too dark. In your amphibian videos gloves latex free should be worn and both male and female veiled chameleons have a crest. I own one myself and over 30 reptile and amphibs, you don't really advocate how to take care of these animals well.

  8. Wow I have 2 Jacksons and the one I kept longer can eat off my hand. And how are they for advanced people this is the first big reptile I had and he's living just fine. I forgot he and she.

  9. i recently (20days ago) bought a young female veiled cham, she's about 6-7 months but i can't manage to let her eat from my hand.. she just get scared by my hand.. how can i do?

  10. Keep in mind that this is how to care for one or whatever yet this chameleon is currently brown while happy veiled chameleons should be teal, blue, green, or even yellow. This means that this chameleon is not happy whatsoever

  11. Quick question, I’m making a comic and I need to know how long it takes for scales to grow back. That’s all. Thank you.

  12. I was really sad when he said they have a short life span. I’ve always loved them and thought they were adorable. I have a bearded dragon. I don’t want to buy one because I know that there loyal and I’ll get attached and when they die I won’t handle it. There so damn cute

  29. This guy is full of it I got three chameleons Vline and flap and every one of them drink out of a bowl just put a air hose in the bowl water make bubbles and they drink from the bubble

  30. My Chameleons drinks from the water dish I have underneath the dripper so I make sure I clean the water dish everyday and put a little bit in the bottom. I also have a Sonic fogger that feeds from the top of the enclosure so water will form on the fake vegetation at night it's hooked up to a timer turns on for two 30min. intervals during the night. But it seems to like get the water from the mini pond shooting its tongue from a distance..lol

  31. Funny how I’m a beginner keeper and I have a happy chameleon. I think it comes with the experience of keeping other animals though.

  32. I like how this guy is telling you how to care for a chameleon when it stresses them out the most when being held. My friend got hers a yr ago and held it every day for like two hours for a week and it died. It was super stressed out😩

  33. You said "a beginner can deffinently not keep this pet" and i have to disagree. With the right amount of research and learning i believe they can
